Pastor Bruce Callahan and his family arrived in Redondo Beach, California in 2002, after being on staff as an evangelist for six years at The Door Christian Fellowship in Tucson, Arizona. Sandro and his wife Griselda Solorzano assumed the pastorate of The Door Christian Fellowship church in Gardena California from Pastor Bruce and Dale Callahan in July of 2020 after serving faithfully under their ministry for 10 years. Like Pastor Callahan, Pastor Solorzano is committed to the "Great Commission" of going into all the world, preaching the gospel, and raising up disciples of all nations. While much of the church world is looking for "better methods" we are still pursuing the Great Call and "biblical methods to be "better people" by becoming disciples and making disciples.

The Door of Southbay is a Christian Fellowship Ministries' Church (CFM). CFM, Inc. was founded in 1970 by Pastor Wayman Mitchell. A spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe. Now, over 3,200 churches have been planted in over 130 nations of the world with the number growing daily. From that, crusades and conferences sprung up that are touching tens of thousands every year. This church is a product of that vision and is working to see it expanded in the short time that remains before Jesus' return. God has given us a vision for the day we live in. Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth. Jesus Christ is the only hope for man's salvation and that is true with every person in every nation on the globe. In a world full of empty dreams and false promises is a truth which grows stronger every year, and that is Jesus Christ and Him crucified!

In our local church, God has given us a powerful revival of men and we are obeying the command by Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..." As we have grown as a church, men have grown into leadership roles which have been the foundation of our Church council. Each of our Council members has been with us since at or near the beginning of our foundation and also play active roles in church ministry positions.

Sandro grew up in the gang-infested neighborhood of the Mid City area of Los Angeles city. At the age of twelve, he witnessed his brother get shot and killed in front of their apartment complex. Trying to get away from the gang violence in L.A., his mother moved them out of the area and into the city of Gardena. At the age of fifteen, he joined one of the most notorious gangs in the area. This destructive path took him down into a life of crime and violence that resulted in getting stabbed, shot twice (once by a sheriff deputy), and numerous arrests and convictions which included being arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit murder. His life was on a path of self-destruction until The Lord intervened in his life. Sandro’s testimony of the power of Jesus Christ to change lives offers hope To countless others who have shared a similar experience of growing up in the ghettos of our inner cities.

In September of 1995 at the age of twenty-one, Sandro had a powerful encounter with the Living God. Someone shared the gospel message of redemption through repentance and the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. After giving his life to Jesus Christ, his life was transformed and was delivered from a life of violence and drug addiction. A couple of months after getting saved he married his girlfriend Griselda and from that time on, they have both dedicated their lives to spreading this same message of redemption through Jesus Christ.

Pastor Solorzano’s ministry experience includes leadership of drama and music ministries as well as pioneering work for God from 2003 - 2009. Sandro and his wife Griselda Solorzano assumed the pastorate of The Door Christian Fellowship church in Gardena California from Pastor Bruce and Dale Callahan in July of 2020. Their number one desire is for you to come into a relationship with Jesus Christ and experience the power of His love, His Grace, and His destiny for your life.

Pastor Callahan and his family arrived in the South Bay to begin a new work for Jesus Christ in late 2002. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and became part of a lost generation of "free love" gone bad. After looking for numerous answers and only finding more questions he became a Christian on June 16, 1979, on a beach in Western Australia with his girlfriend Dale who became his wife. "Jesus Christ has put our lives together and what HE puts together HE keeps together!!" They are both trained teachers and Dale is currently employed teaching first grade at the Carden Dominion School in Redondo Beach. They have three adult children Emily a graduate of the University of Arizona who is married to Chris Martinez, Jessica a Graduate of CSDH becoming an RN this year, and Micheal a senior at USC studying Mechanical Engineering.

In 1979, the Christian Fellowship Churches of Arizona planted a new work overseas, into Perth, Western Australia. Once again God poured out HIS Holy Spirit establishing over 140 churches in 25 nations from Australia. At that time Pastor Callahan and his wife, Dale, had been living a dual lifestyle. On the surface, they were respected teachers, but their private lives were filled with drugs, immorality, and a hedonistic, pleasure-driven thrill-seeking beach existence. In June of 1979, they had a life-changing experience with the "Author of Life," Jesus Christ and they were born again. They became involved in the first pioneer work planted from the Church in Perth and after serving in that church for a little over two years, they went and pioneered a new work in the North West of Australia. Following that, their young family moved to the East Coast of Australia to pioneer another church. After pastoring in Australia for 14 years, the family followed the call of God to Tucson, Arizona where Bruce served as an Evangelist for 6 years, and now they are pioneering in the "South Bay" area of Los Angeles. "We have seen lives changed, marriages restored, bodies healed, disciples raised up and destinies discovered, as the wonderful message of Jesus Christ is embraced by simple people who are not embarrassed to proclaim that same message."

Pastor Callahan has been in the ministry for over 25 years and he has had the privilege of preaching the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ in 31 different nations. He sees the desperate needs in the South Bay of so many people who have lost so much of their humanity pursuing the ever-elusive "American Dream". The dream has become a nightmare for so many over every social strata that have yet to wake up to the only answer for their lost, lonely lives.
